Al Anwar Holdings SAOG (AAH) was promoted and established in the year 1994 by a group of prominent business families in Oman with a prime objective to contribute in industrial development of Sultanate of Oman. With the blessings of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the company has been instrumental in pioneering industrial development in Oman in sectors such as Ceramic Tiles, Aluminium Profile, Investment Castings, Stationery, Transformers & Switch gears, Paints and Glass. After successful attainment of its objective, in the year 2005-06 the company reviewed its investment strategy and identified the Financial Services Sector as its core focus area. It also identified Real Estate, Infrastructure, Hospitality and Tourism sectors as other growth sectors for entering. The company made a conscious decision to diversify in these sectors with an objective to improve shareholders value. Further, in order to take advantage of emerging economies and also for the reasons of diversification of risks, it decided for geographical dispersion. Since this decision, the company has made various investments in and outside of Oman.
